As Google has grown, the responsibilities of its Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) team have expanded. Their goal is to contribute to Google's success by safeguarding the well-being of their people, partners, and the planet. This initiative involved the development of an animated training video tailored for new members of the Google evacuation team.

DESIGN EXPLORATIONInitially, we aimed to move beyond mundane, dull, or frivolous safety narratives. We delved into numerous design approaches to portray characters and settings within the Google ecosystem. It was crucial to convey the varied Googley essence of Google's people and culture, steering clear of stereotypes and clichés.
Structuring the Process
STORYTELLINGTo alleviate the workload for EHS subject matter experts, we employ a streamlined pipeline comprising various frameworks. EHS team members became well-versed in this system, enabling them to expedite reviews and approval of content more efficiently.
This involved modular story components that were tailored for different global regions.
Our approach involves a straightforward strategy for the consistent use of characters, objects, and environments across various topics and regions.
Before content production, we utilize visualization techniques, facilitating stakeholders in providing detailed feedback effortlessly.
The outcome is a resilient storytelling pipeline that enhances the efficiency of crafting cohesive, high-quality stories at an accelerated pace.
