GE Digital

Bringing Digital Transformation To Life

As the world's first and only Digital Industrial company, GE is equipping customers with the data, analytics, and business insights needed to thrive in the modern digital economy.

Over the past several years, I have brought the GE story of digital transformation to life across multiple industries for customers all over the globe.

GE - Exelon Customer Stories

In these documentary-style videos, an honest and empathetic storytelling approach highlights the human impact of digital transformation, told from the perspectives of a variety of personas across the customer enterprise.

UX / UI Design

I led the design team working closely with GE to visualize the capabilities and potential of their revolutionary Predix™ software. We needed to find unique ways to demonstrate the power of a holistic system that pulled massive amounts of real-time industrial data, analyzed it through powerful artificial intelligence, and interfaced with the human operators and market watchers responsible for the entire energy grid. These visualizations would be the centerpieces at GE’s annual industry event, Minds & Machines.

First, we needed to establish a vision of what Predix meant for the energy production industry. This allowed us to put from science fiction and develop a language of conceptual UI and industrial technology visuals that demonstrated how Predix™ would change the way power plants were operated as well as how energy was both delivered and recycled.

Experiential Design

Showpieces that marry physical scale models with interactive technology, giving customers a tangible way to explore how digital technologies seamlessly integrate with asset-intensive industries to unlock potential value.

Electricity Value Network

A seventeen-foot diameter scale model of the energy ecosystem that uses augmented reality overlays and touchscreen kiosks to bring to life GE’s ability to transform the power industry through advanced capabilities in software and analytics coupled with deep domain expertise.

Gamification

An augmented reality game experience that uses Hololens technology to overlay Predix-based application over a physical model of the Electricity Value Network was created, inviting players to compete as they digitally transform the power industry. These early Hololens test videos will give you a sense of the 15-minute experience.

Executive Presentations

Here are a number of original concepts that bring digital transformation to life as part of GE’s annual event for industrial and technology leaders from across the world. Recently this included compelling keynote presentations and live customer demos broadcast from multiple locations in the US, as well as an immersive video experience that takes audience members through a journey into the world of no unplanned downtime.

Compelling stories and visualizations convey how GE enables customers to achieve unprecedented levels of reliability, productivity, and profitability through the use of software, data, and analytics. These presentations for the Power, Renewables, and Healthcare sectors made abstract ideas around platform technologies feel human and accessible.
